8/26/2026 Upcoming Election News

Nominations for all CWA Local 3170 officer positions will be accepted at the October General Body Meeting . If you are interested in running, please email the hall localcwa3170@gmail.com, we will host a short meeting in September to go over eligibility and responsibilities.

City General Government Non-Supervisor Unit:   2025 PERC certification election will be scheduled soon. This election will determine if you will continue to have a union contract.

Dates will be posted as soon as we have it.

8/19/26 Member newsletter now out!

The Education Committee is now publishing a newsletter to help keep all our members informed, even if you cannot attend general meetings.

6/10/26 Call for volunteers & invitation to Union Clothing Swap in July!

Early dropoff starting 2 PM. Find us upstairs.
Additional details: Bring any clothing in good condition for all ages, sizes, and genders. 
Nothing to spare? Come anyway! Make union friends and enjoy some free fashion finds. Friends, family, and children welcome! Dressing rooms available.

Local 3170 will be hosting a “Back to School Clothing Swap” in late July for all bargaining unit members!

6/10/26 Announcing the formation of the Education Committee!

The Education committee is a team working to empower all local 3170 workers, through knowledge sharing, to help strengthen our union and bring about changes to better all of our lives. The first-ever meeting was held in April and the team continues to meet once a month or more to develop and share info with all of our members.
